Wedding Reception for Mark & Julie
8am - Neighborhood Clean Up Project - Saturday the 3rd
Please join other Friends to help clean up our neighbor's yard on 40th Street on Saturday, May 3rd at 8:00 a.m. It is a house with an overgrown yard. Help us show a neighbor that Friends care. Bring yard clean up supplies and tools.
Youth Activities - Saturday the 17th
On Saturday, May 17 at 6pm - 10pm the youth group will meet at James' house to make lunches for the homeless and then watch movies. On Sunday morning during Sunday School, we'll drive downtown and hand out the lunches. Please see Kathy with any questions.
Supplies for the Food Bank - Sunday the 18th
The Social Concerns Committee invites you to participate in the "Spirit of Giving Food Drive" to help our local Food Bank. As you probably know, the demand on the food bank is high right now, and giving is down. Any of the items from the list below would be greatly appreciated. You might share this concern with your neighbors and see if they would like to help out. This would also provide you with an opportunity to invite them to come to church with you. We'll have a collection box in the Fireside Room by May 18.
Here is the wish list from the Food Bank:
- Dry Goods- Breakfast Cereals, Oatmeal, Mac & Cheese, Top Ramen, pasta noodles, beans & rice, and dry soups.
- Canned Food - Soups, Vegetables, Fruits, Tuna, & Chicken.
- Peanut Butter
- Infant Formula- Enfamil w/iron AND Similac w/iron
Other Items Always Needed:
- Clothing- Men's and Women's clothing in all sizes, business attire, school uniforms for youth, maternity clothes, jackets, sleeping bags, etc.
- Parenting Supplies- Diapers, Toiletries, Toys, Baby Clothing, etc.
Wedding Reception for Mark & Julie - Saturday the 31st
On May 31st at 2:00pm Mark and Julie will be wed in Kansas at Haviland Friends Church. On June 20th at 6:30pm a reception will be held for Mark and Julie at Sacramento Friends Church please RSVP to Tyla Healton either by email or phone.
